The history of this cue started with Barton
Spain (So I am told). The rose wood blank passed through three
or four cuemakers
in
the blank form. It finally was purchased by Tim Dame, a local
S. Florida Player who commissioned a local cuemaker to complete
the cue. After about 12 years the blank was shown to me and
I was commissioned to complete the cue.
Tim wanted a cue that
was light in weight and 60 inches long.
We decided on an elephant ivory joint, a Uni-Loc® 3/8 Radial
Pin, ivory ferrule and double black deco collars with ivory
inlays. The butt sleeve was inlaid with four propellers and
two ivory/ebony
rings bordered by sterling silver rings. At Tim's request ivory
colored PVC was utilized for the butt cap. Tim played with
this cue for about six months. The cue was taken in trade on
a $10,000.00
cue Tim subsequently ordered from me. This cue is a piece of
history.
