The
Luck of the Irish Custom Cue
My client
picked out this piece of 5X Curly Maple. It could
well have been the
best piece I had in stock. He wanted a cue with lots of Ivory and Four Leaf
Clovers. So we built a solid Ivory Butt sleeve
and inlayed Four
Malachite "Four Leaf Clovers". I inlayed
three Malachite dots before and after each Four Leaf
Clover. These Malachite dots diminish in size as
they travel away from the Four Leaf Clovers.
To match the color of the Four Leaf Clover we selected
thin Green Veneers. The green veneers are bordered
by Holly wood points on one side and Holly wood
veneers on the other. A black veneer was placed
next to the
Curly Maple Forearm for contrast. We inlayed
smaller versions of the Four Leaf Clovers into each
point
to keep things to scale.
Symbolizing strength,masculinity and virility;
we selected a Black Teja Lizard Wrap.
We included
an Ivory Joint and Butt Cap.
