Hard Maple Shaft - Ivory and Silver
While I was attending a
local tournament this past weekend (November 5, 2000), Tommy
Kennedy
saw this cue and liked it so much that I gave it to him for
his personal use. This beautiful cue has been held in my private collection
for the past three years. It is Cocobolo butt wood along
with four
Cocobolo points inlaid into a nice piece of very dense Birdseye
maple. The spliced points feather to a point and are almost
perfectly even.
The butt cap and joint are mammoth ivory and
the ferrule is center cut elephant ivory. This beautiful
cue has two
silver rings in the butt sleeve that are bordered
by hollywood rings. The shaft has two silver rings also bordered by hollywood.
The joint collars are made of Ivorene III and Kingwood making for a nice
contrast to the exquisite ivory joint. The joint screw
is 3/8-10 stainless steel. The
hard maple shaft is 13 mm diameter, weighs 19.00 ounces.
