Purple Heart
Matched Cue Set
I first met Doug in cyber space on a news group called rec.sport.billiard
(RSB). It is one of thousands of news groups where like-minded people meet.
Among this group of people, we share a common interest in pool and billiards
and all related subjects. Although we tend to stray from the topic a bit,
it is never dull. |

Birdseye
Maple Custom Cue I started this cue with a very nice
piece of seasoned birds eye maple. I included four silver rings
in the double black Linen-based Fiber joint, and feature six
silver rings in the butt sleeve, and nine black rings that contrast nicely with
the silver and the birds eye maple. As a finishing touch a "Rambo" type
white ring was added to the butt cap. |

Four Point
Tulip Wood Matched Cue Set
I created this matched set of cues for my friend Jim Sutton
(Left to Right: Playing Cues then Jump/Break Cues). We spent
many hours chewing the fat" about cues, players, rocket
science, pretty girls, work and just about anything else you
can think of.

The Pink Ivory
Custom Cue
This cue is like building two cues to get one. After the forearm
was inlaid the cue was remachined and a new slot was cut to
inlay the Pink Ivory Points. Pink Ivory is a rare exotic wood from
the African continent (Berchemia zeyheri), and it is often
said to be rarer then diamonds.

|
3-Chain Tulip Wood Custom Cue
This tulip wood cue hosts three chains (all diminishing in size
with the taper of the cue) made of blood wood and 173 pieces
of ivory. |

 |
8-Point Blood
Wood Crown Custom Cue
This cue started with an outrageous piece of 5X Birds Eye
Maple. In order to preserve as much of the wood's natural beauty
and definition of the grain I elected to use short points.
The short points coupled with the Ebony, Ivory, and Blood Wood
chain produced a Crown-like appearance in the forearm.

 |
Grey Ghost Custom Pool Cue
As I started building this cue I saw that it needed some Ivory Diamonds in
the Butt Sleeve. Then the forearm looked naked and also needed matching
Ivory Diamonds. Next the joint was lacking so I added 8 small Ivory Diamonds. |

This Matched Set of Fine Custom Cues will always be in style because of their
clean “Classic” use of Curly Maple, Ebony, Leather and Ivory. |

Tulipwood
Dagger Deluxe Road Player
A custom cue created for the Serious Player.
A player who wants a nice looking, solid hitting
custom pool cue but not one that so high priced that
it will break the bank. A serious deadly weapon of
the highest caliber.

The Slimline Jump Break Custom
Pool Cue
The “Slimline”; a word coined by
Arnot to quickly describe his newest innovation in
custom cues.
|
 |
The Cocobolo Road Warrior - Ivory
Diamonds - Holly Points
This cue was started with a "Primo" piece
of Cocobolo wood that had been seasoning in my shop for 10 years. |
 |
Curly Maple - Goncalo Alves (Polar
Opposites) Matched Set of Custom Cues
This set started out as Cue #682 (http://www.arnotq.com/pages/682/682.html).
John then decided that he wanted me to make a polar opposite into a Jump
Break Cue. |
 |
Bird's Eye Maple Road Player - Natural
Trim
A real solid hitting custom cue. Although it doesn’t
have all the decorative inlays, points and other aesthetically
pleasing elements of some of my fancier cues, this cue has what
it needs, where it counts. |
